About Tyler Cole

I’ve always chased pictures. First through film, now through ink and oil.

After college, I moved to LA with nothing but a backpack and a dream of making movies. I couch-surfed, worked random part-time jobs, and eventually made a feature film that got distribution and a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It also made $0 and I filed for bankruptcy.

So I started drawing, seriously drawing, for the first time in my life. I taught myself to tattoo using fake skin, YouTube, and my own body as a canvas. My early tattoos were absolutely awful. But I got obsessed. I got better. And eventually, I got an apprenticeship.

That was five years ago. Since then, I’ve worked in street shops, tattooed across the country, and now own The Cozy Cabin Tattoos and Fine Art in Denver, Colorado. The root of my work is storytelling. Whether through custom realism tattoos, filmmaking, or oil painting. I always strive to tell a story first.

Most recently, I launched Cinematic Paintings, a series that merges short films and oil paintings into collectible art drops. Each painting is based on a 30-second film I directed. Every drop includes only 109 signed and numbered prints, priced at $109-$209 flat with free shipping. One of those prints is randomly upgraded to the original oil painting.

Why 109? It’s my family’s lucky number and it just felt right.

Thanks for being here. If you’d like to book a tattoo, fill out the form on this site or DM me on Instagram. Hope to see you in The Cozy Cabin soon.
